How to Get the Perfect Shave

Guys always ask me how to get the perfect shave. Here is my go-to guide: Step 1 Cleanse your face to remove impurities, excess oil and dirt. Always shave in the shower or just after, as the heat from the steam not only softens hairs, but allows them to stand up straighter by as much as 30%, for an easier cut. Try the Glycolic Facial Cleanser, a non-foaming wash that buffs away dead skin cells and helps you get a closer shave. The cleaner the face, the closer the shave. Alternate cleanser with a face scrub a 2-3 times a week to help exfoliate the face and lift beard hairs. Try the Facial Scrub. Extra Help: To soften the beard and condition skin, pour a small amount of the pre-shave oil in the palm of your hand, smooth onto face and neck underneath the shave cream. Do not rinse. Try the Pre-Shave Oil to help the razor glide more easily. This is especially good for those who are prone to ingrown hairs and razor burn. Step 2 Apply an even layer of shave cream (not too thick) all over your face and neck. Try the Shave Cream, a soothing, moisturizing cream that won’t clog your razor. I recommend using a double (for sensitive skin) or triple-blade (for normal to heavy beards) razor. Start at your sideburns and work your way down, shaving in the direction your hair grows. Use short strokes, and make sure to rinse off the blade between each stroke. When shaving the neck area, shave upward, using your free hand to hold skin taut. Shave chin last, allowing the pre-shave oil to really sink in and soften the area. Step 3 After shaving, rinse your face and neck several times with cool, tepid water to further calm and refresh skin. Purifying Astringent Pads to tighten pores. Step 4 Apply a small amount of after-shave balm into the palm of your hand and then rub onto your face and neck with your fingertips. Try the After Shave Balm, a soothing and cooling balm. Let me know how it goes…
